The Beagle Has Landed

A call this week from Alex (niece of Jackie who makes all those wonderful dog treat biscuits that K9 sell) because Roxy her beagle had gone missing at Roadford reservoir. Its only 15 minutes from us so we were able to get straight there, and after walking to the place she was last seen, Forager was given her harness as a scent article and immediately set off at a brisk trot. Alex was with us and in the distance we heard some baying so I told her to call and whistle Roxy, and after about 10 minutes of tracking, with Alex calling her, she appeared from the bushes. Everyone was very relieved as tracking in this heat is not much fun for any of us!
