
Away Days
Forager and Jara had a nother day out , this time at Dunsford Show where we had a charity stall. it was a lovely day, slightly too hot, but both boys wore their cool coats all day and barely panted once, they were so efficient at cooling. If only they made them for humans!! Anyhow we had a book sale, and a hamper competition (won by Mrs May of Ide) to help raise funds. Lifes A Beach
Baffle had a really intense training session today, with a training excercise on Mothecombe Estate, that included tracking on the beach! A two mile trail was laid by "Rebus" a lurcher, and his owner Maria, across cliff tops, through woods, through agricultural land and along tarmac lanes, ending up on the beach. He ran it 30 mins cold, and found the "lost" Rebus in an hour. Very pleasing result!
Missing Collie Cornwall
maisey the collie slipped her lead after only one day in her new home. the owners had been searching frantically for over a week without success. Farmer spotted her in a field and rang them but she was gone when they got there so they called in K9SD. We tracked for about ten minutes across farmland and spotted her in the field ahead. She was very scared and we kept the hound well away as the owner went to try and call her in but she fled. We then tracked her for another 8 mil

Active Service
Forager has been called out twice this week on searches. The first call came late one night from the owner of two missing spaniels in Cornwall.One of the dogs had been spotted by a motorist in a lane and we were called upon to track it. Not having done any night tracking with Forager, I wasnt sure how it would go but he really didnt appear to notice it was dark! He tracked the spaniel from the woods through fields and back into the grounds of the hotel, via a golf course. He
